Do interparagraph spaces make my blog look big?

Is there some rulebook out there?

Not that I care, since this a freewheelin' place, just going thru the motions to see how I want this to look.

Next: get a better keyboard (with a kick-ass space bar) and whip out an ancient copy of Photoshop to gin upo a decent recent pic of myself. No videos, though, at least not yet.

What in the hell am I doing here?

I want to make some easy cash - give you a piece of my mind, and get something for it. Not a novel idea at this point, but, hey - like my cousin once said, it's not a party if I don't miss it.
Maybe it's a badly-designed experiment, and the results will have to be thrown out, and god forbid, never make it to peer review.
I'm also really tired of talking to my eight-year-old and the cat - this way, someone else will at least have to read this and then reject it. I used similar thinking when I dropped out of the Ph.D track (yes, I *do* have an MA): why write a book that only, maybe, 10 people would ever read, when I could write a "real" book, send it to 10 publishers, and have a chance that more than 10 people would read it before rejecting it, and possibly wind up publishing the next great American novel, or even better, something that would crack the Top 10,000 on Amazon.com.

(ps: there are now at least 3 early drafts of the novel I meant to write, which fact suggests huge possiblities for self-plagiarism, and maybe even blog-based workshopping).

First blog entry.

And, here we go ...
